Math & YOU Teacher Help
The CSV Rostering option is a school/district-based import to quickly add users to the Math & You system. To complete this work you will need to be a District or School Admin within Math & You.
Select IMPORT USERS option from the Admin menu in the global navigation.
Select user type.
- Teacher
- Student
- School Admin
Download the CSV template for the selected user type.
Fill details of all users in the respective columns in the CSV file.
First Name *
1 to 256 characters
Last Name
1 to 256 characters
Username *
5 to 256 characters
Recommended email address
If the username is not unique the user will not be uploaded into the system and an error message will be generated.
Password
≥12 characters
Required 1 lowercase, 1 uppercase, 1 special, 1 number.
Different from your previous 5 passwords used.
Email*
School ID(s)*
Each school will have a unique ID which can be found on the school detail page Users › Organizations › Schools. The value will begin with SC#####.
Grade*
Grade level of the user validated against the grades of the school for the student upload. School grade levels can be found on the school detail page Users › Organizations › Schools.

Upload the CSV file on the Import Users page. Ensure that the selected user type matches the uploaded CSV file.
Once the data validation is successful, select the CONFIRM button to start the import process or the START OVER button to restart the process. Without hitting CONFIRM your users will not be added to the Math and You Database.
If there are any errors in the data validation, this will be displayed.
If there are any errors in the import, this will be displayed.
A success message is displayed when users are successfully imported.
