Your Blackboard administrator must have set up the Cengage tool in Blackboard.
With this integration:
- You and your students access your MindTap for K–12 courses from Blackboard.
How do I know if I'm using this integration?
Your Cengage tool will be in a different location depending on which integration you are using.
These instructions are for an older version of the integration which uses a Cengage navigation item in your course navigation. If you have a Cengage navigation item that works, you are using this integration.
Google Classroom Versions
How you add MindTap for K–12 content to your Google Classroom depends on if your school uses Google Workspace for Education Fundamentals/Standard or Google Workspace for Education Plus.
To see which version your school uses, open the assignment editor and look for the Add-ons panel.
- If your assignment has Add-ons, your school uses Google Workspace for Education Plus.
- If your assignment does not have Add-ons, your school uses Google Workspace for Education Fundamentals/Standard.
General Procedure
Create your course in Blackboard.
Choose one of the following:
In your MindTap for K–12 course, assign the activities you want to use.
Add Links in Blackboard to MindTap for K–12 Activities and Resources
Multisection Courses
Blackboard sections must be created and linked before you begin integrating MindTap for K–12 courses. Blackboard permits section linking when enabled by your school or district administrator.
Each Blackboard section will be linked to a MindTap for K–12 course.
Create your multisection Blackboard course.
Link your first Blackboard section to a new MindTap for K–12 course.
Set up your MindTap for K–12 course.
Finish setting up your course before copying it over to the rest of your Blackboard sections, so you only have to make these changes once.
In your Blackboard section, click the Cengage link you just created.
Cengage opens in a new tab.
In Blackboard, open the next section and click the Cengage link.
The Cengage course linking page opens in a new tab.
Link the Blackboard section to a copy of your MindTap for K–12 course.
Repeat this process for each section in your Blackboard course.
