Edit Grades

Edit a student's grade to grant or remove additional points. You can change the student's overall assignment score, or their score for individual questions.

  1. In the upper-left corner, click Menu Gradebook.

    The gradebook opens.

  2. Adjust your gradebook display.

    To do this:

    View assignments from one category

    Select a category in Category Filter.

    Change score display

    1. Click Display Settings.
    2. Under Display Score as, select Points or Percentage.
    3. Click Save.

    Sort scores

    1. Click Display Settings.
    2. Under Sort by, select First Name or Last Name.
    3. Under Sort Order, select Ascending or Descending.
    4. Click Save.
  3. Click an assignment score.

  4. Edit the overall assignment score, or edit the points earned for specific questions.

    Assignment score

    1. Click Edit.

    2. Enter the new score in Assignment Score.

      Scores are displayed as Points Earned / Total Points. Both values can be edited.

    3. Click Save.

    Question score

    1. Click View.

      The Assignment Overview opens, showing the student's score for each question.

    2. Click a question title to view its full text and the student's answer.

    3. To change the student's score, enter a new point value in Score.

      Scores are displayed as Points Earned / Total Points. Both values can be edited.

    4. To leave feedback on a question, enter a message in Comments.

    5. Click Save.
