Preview an Assignment

Preview materials before assigning them to see how they will appear to students.

  1. In the upper-left corner, click Menu Assignments.

    Your Assignments page displays all available assignments in your course.

  2. Filter your materials by Status, Type, or Gradebook Category.

  3. Click an assignment to preview it.

  4. Use the Preview panel above the assignment to view each question.

    Narrative assignments do not have questions.

    • Select a question. If available, click Assessment questions menu to view the question list.
    • If available, click Back to menu to close the question preview and return to the question list.
    • Click Next to view the next question.
    • Click Previous to view the previous question.
  5. If available, click ReadSpeaker to hear course materials read aloud.

    • To pause, click Pause.
    • To resume playback, click Play.
    • To move forward or backward in the text, drag the progress bar Seek bar.
  6. To return to the assignment list, click Cancel.

  7. To assign the assignment, click Assign.
    1. Select which students should take the assignment.

      • To assign to the entire class, set Assign to Students to Everyone.
      • To assign to certain students, set Assign to Students to Individual Students. Select students from the list or select a group of students in Filter With Groups.
    2. Select students and adjust settings as needed.
