Activity is Not Marked Practice or Counts Towards Grade

Activities in your learning path are often marked Practice if they do not count toward the final grade, or Counts Towards Grade if they do. If an activity is not marked as either Practice or Counts Towards Grade, it does not count toward the final grade.

Causes

  • Activities that are not gradeable, like reading activities and web link activities, are not marked as either Practice or Counts Towards Grade.
  • If you use category weighting, activities that do not belong to a category, or belong to a category with 0 weight, are not marked as either Practice or Counts Towards Grade. These activities do not count toward your students' grades.

Resolution

If you want the activity to count toward your students' grades, move the activity to a category with a weight of 1 or greater.
