Create a Group Bongo Activity

Create an assignment for students to complete in groups.

Courses using Standard MindTap have an eBook icon in the toolbar.

  1. In the toolbar, click Bongo to open Bongo.

  2. Click Add Create group assignment.

  3. At the top of the learning path, click + Activity Activity.

  4. Click Add More MindTap Content.

  5. Click Bongo.

  6. Click Group.

  7. Enter an assignment name and instructions on the General tab.
    1. Enter an assignment name in Untitled Assignment.

    2. Enter instructions in Instructions.

    3. To record or upload video instructions, click Add video.

    4. Click More Options to change what users can view before and after submission.

    1. In Activity Score, enter the total points in the assignment.

    2. Turn Counts toward final grade on or off.

    3. To view all scoring modes, click More options.

      Select a scoring mode for details and mode-specific settings.

      Scoring modes marked AI require AI Feedback be enabled.

  8. On the AI Feedback tab, turn AI Feedback on or off.

    Bongo AI Feedback can analyze student videos and provide feedback on delivery, tone, and usage of key terms and phrases you select.

  9. Set group settings on the Group Options tab.
    1. Select how students are assigned to groups.

      Instructor Managed

      Instructors can copy groups from previous activities or manually add students to groups.

      Learner Managed

      Students choose which group to join.

      Automatic

      Students are randomly assigned to available groups.

    2. Enter how many groups are formed in Number of groups.

    3. Turn on Team Evaluation to let students evaluate their teammates.

  10. On the Toolset tab, select the recording modes and attachment options students can use.
    1. In Recordings, select the recording modes students can use.

    2. Turn Meetings on to let students schedule and record Bongo meetings for the assignment.

    3. Turn Attachments on to let students add supporting files or links to their submission.

    4. In Submission Requirements, select if recordings and attachments are required or optional.

  11. On the Peer Review tab, require students to watch and provide feedback on other students' assignments.

  12. Click Save.

Add your assignment to the MindTap learning path to make it available to students.
