SAM In MindTap Instructor Help
From MindTap, click + Add / Create › Activity › SAM-Assignment.
Click Express Creation.
In Select Section, select your section.
In Textbook, select the content source for your assignment.
Click a chapter to view available assignments.
Click Training Assignment.
Enter a unique name for the assignment.
Clear any tasks or questions you do not want to include in your assignment.
Preview the assignment or individual tasks.
Click Training Preview ›
.To view a task, click Launch next to a task name.
To view the whole assignment, click Launch All.
To close the preview window, click Close.
To configure assignment options, click Training Options.
- Instructions
Additional instructions for students.
- Specify always available Password
Prevent students from starting until they enter a password that you provide.
Click Save Training.
In the Assign to Course window, set activity details.
- Activity Title
Label for the activity in the learning path.
- Description
Information or instructions displayed when the activity is opened.
- Require Password
Password protection for scoreable activities to prevent students from accessing them ahead of time.
- Academic Integrity
Not available for all courses and activities.
Set the activity to:
- No LockDown Browser: No restrictions on browser or desktop activity during this activity.
- LockDown Browser: Students cannot access other websites or applications during an assignment.
- LockDown Browser with Respondus Monitor: Students take their assignments on-camera and cannot access other websites or applications.
- Available Date
When students can start work on the activity.
- Due Date
When students must end work on the activity.
- Associated Topic
Textbook topic related to the activity.
- Order Within Topic
Position in the learning path under the specified topic.
Click Add.
