SAM Path assignments are sequential combinations of exams and
training.
SAM Path assignments display as one
activity in the assignment list. Students complete the assignments in the order you
selected, and receive one cumulative score.

From MindTap, click .

On the Taskbar, click Schedule New.

For Assignment Type, click SAM Path.

Select an exam.
- To filter the list of exams by subject, select a subject in the
Subject menu.

Click Next Step.

Select a path type.
- Exam > Training > Exam
- Test students on a topic, provide remedial training for any errors,
then re-test students for proficiency.
- Training > Exam
- Train students on a topic, then test their proficiency.
- Exam > Training
- Test students on a topic, then provide remedial training for
errors.

Enter a unique assignment name in Assignment Name.

Configure the settings for your SAM Path assignment.
The options available depend on the path type selected:

Click Save.

In the Editing
Activity window, set the activity title, description, dates, and location in the
learning path to assign the activity to your course.
- Title
- Label for the activity in the learning path.
- Description
- Information or instructions displayed when the activity is
opened.
- Require Password
- Password protection for scoreable activities to prevent students
from accessing them ahead of time.
- Available Date
- When students can start work on the activity.
- Due Date
- When students must end work on the activity.
- Associated Topic
- Textbook topic related to the activity.
- Order Within Topic
- Position in the learning path under the specified topic.
