Current list of known problems with workarounds where available.
Accessibility
- The JAWS screen reader has these issues:
- Focus does not move to the list of options under the account name.
- Focus does not move to the list of options under Date of Birth and Secret Question.
WORKAROUND: Use another screen reader.
- The Cengage SAM logo on the Login page is not read by screen readers.
- When using the NVDA screen reader and resetting
your password, the Check Your Email page is not announced.
WORKAROUND: Use another screen reader.
SAM Assignments
- Instructors can only remove assignments they create in a section.
- In training tasks, the Observe, Practice, and Apply buttons are sometimes displayed incorrectly as a drop-down list on MacOS and iPad. They can still be selected.
- The section selector at
the top of the student Activity List page can be partly hidden by the Cengage sidebar. This happens in Google® Chrome™ and Microsoft® Edge when the browser window is less than 1920 pixels wide after navigating
with the Cengage sidebar to another page and then back to the Activity
List.
WORKAROUND: Either collapse the Cengage sidebar or resize the browser window to show the section selector.
- Because arrow keys are unavailable on the iPad keyboard, students cannot perform Pathway tasks involving arrow keys on iPads.
- The counter displayed in the Upcoming Assignment widget includes the component assignments for a SAM Path instead of counting the SAM Path as a single assignment.
- When using an iPad, Microsoft Office® tasks do not load in the content player.
- Can't close simulation task
instructions when the zoom is 200% or greater. The Close button is partly or
completely hidden depending on the browser and zoom level.
WORKAROUND: Reduce zoom to 100%.
SAM Sections
- Instructors cannot use the
Communicate feature if they select more than 33 sections.
WORKAROUND: Select fewer than 30 sections at a time.
SAM Keyboarding
- When an instructor selects lessons 56-110 using bulk select, lesson 56 is not included
in the
selection.
WORKAROUND: Manually select lesson 56.
- Individual Performance Reports for Word® Drill Assignments do not include the student input and
markup details.
This will be resolved with a future release so that the student input and markup details will be present in the Individual Performance Report.
- Keyboarding lesson error count is incorrect when the student transposes punctuation and a word. The punctuation is shown as a missed error instead of a transposition.
