What content is part of the Pre-Course tests and when should I administer them?
The Pre-Course tests can be given at the beginning of the year. These tests are the Post-Course tests from the previous grade and can provide information about what gaps students might have from the previous grade/course. For the Geometry and Algebra 2 Pre-Course tests, the Algebra 1 Post-Course test is used.
When should I give the Quarter tests?
- Quarter 1 tests are meant to be administered around the end of the first quarter of the year (9 weeks).
- Quarter 2 tests are meant to be administered around the end of the first semester (18 weeks).
- Quarter 3 tests are meant to be administered around the end of the third quarter of the year (27 weeks).
- Post-Course tests are meant to be administered near the end of the year.
- These tests build upon each other and are cumulative.
What information will the DAP report give me for individual students?
The report will:
- indicate whether a student’s overall performance level is emerging, proficient, or advanced;
- give a brief description of the specific skill covered by each item the student answered;
- display whether the student answered each item correctly or incorrectly; and
- provide you with the specific grade, chapter, and lesson in which that skill can be found so you can find resources for remediation and/or differentiation.
