Add Links in Canvas LTI Advantage to CNOWv2 Activities

After setting up your CNOWv2 course, create links from Canvas™ to activities or other content in CNOWv2. Linked graded activities are included in the Canvas gradebook unless you choose to exclude them.

The following procedure is for LTI Advantage integrations. If the Cengage link in your course navigation works, see LTI 1.0.

  1. Open your Canvas course.
  2. Click Modules in the course navigation.
  3. Locate or create the module that will contain your activity links.

The Cengage tool might not be available in both of the following locations depending on your Canvas admin's settings.

To add activity links in a new module:

    1. Click more options next to +Module.

    2. Set the dropdown to External Tool.
    3. Click the Cengage LTI Advantage tool.

  1. Click Select Content.
  2. Select activities to include in your course.

By default, when you include a graded activity it is added to the Canvas gradebook.

Due dates set in your CNOWv2 course are synced to Canvas. Any changes you make to due dates in your CNOWv2 course overwrite dates set in your Canvas course. For consistency, make sure your CNOWv2 and Canvas courses are set to the same time zone.

  3. Click Continue.
  4. If needed, click Add Item.

The selected activity links are added to the module.

If needed, you can reorganize the links in Canvas.
