ReadSpeaker is not available for all content.

Your ReadSpeaker settings are applied to your experience only. Students can customize their own ReadSpeaker settings to meet their learning needs.

  1. Open your course material.

  2. Click ReadSpeaker to open ReadSpeaker.

  3. Click ReadSpeaker.

  4. Adjust your settings.

    Show the text being read aloud in a different color

    Set Text highlighting to On.

    Control which text is highlighted

    Set Highlighting options to:

    • Word and sentence
    • Sentence only
    • Word only
    • No highlighting

    Change highlighted text colors

    Select a Word color and Sentence color to change the highlight color.

    Select a Text color to change the text being highlighted.

    Display the current sentence in large text with simultaneous highlighting

    Set Enhanced text visibility to On.

    Change reading speed

    Set Speed to Slow, Medium, or Fast.

    Scroll to keep text being read aloud on screen

    Set Automatic scrolling to On.

    Show the option ReadSpeaker to read aloud when you select text

    Set Pop-up button to On.

    Restore default settings

    Click Restore default settings.

  5. Click Close or X to return to your course material.
