Add an Essay Question

Author a new essay question to use in your activity. Essay questions must be manually graded.

Question editing and authoring is not available for all activities.

1. Open the activity editor.

   To do this:	Do this:
   Edit an activity on the learning path	Click  > Edit activity title and content.
   Edit an activity from the Activity Bank	Click + Activity > Activity >  Add from Activity Bank. Click an activity. Click Edit.
   Create a new activity	Click + Activity > Activity > Create New. Click either Create Activity or Create Activity with Question Pools.

2. Click + Create Question.
3. Click Add New.
4. Click Essay.
5. Click an essay type.
   • Essay with plain text
   • Essay with plain text (German)
   • Essay with plain text (Italian)
   • Essay with plain text (French)
   • Essay with plain text (Spanish)
6. Enter your essay prompt in Compose question.
7. Optional: To add feedback, click More options .
   • Enter feedback for the entire question in Overall feedback.
   • Enter an example of a correct response in Sample answer.
8. Optional: Click Preview to preview your question.
9. Click Save to add your question to your activity.
