Create a TA Account

Create a student Cengage account for yourself and contact Cengage Support Services to convert it to a Teaching Assistant (TA) account. A TA account has an instructor dashboard, and can view the course they're added to as an instructor. TA accounts may have limited abilities to view and affect the gradebook based on settings customized by the instructor.

When using a TA account, you can not:
  • Add or remove textbooks
  • Purchase or register course or textbook access
  • Change your security question or password
  • Change your institution
  1. Create a student Cengage account. You must sign up with an email you have not used with Cengage before.
  2. Contact Cengage Support Services to add TA permissions to the account.

After your TA account is set up, request your instructor add you as a TA in the needed course.
