Instructor Can't View Your Code

If you need to review your students' Coding Labs code for practice or unsubmitted assignments, you can ask them to either add you as a contributor in GitHub or download their workspace as a.zip file and share it with you.

Resolution: Add Instructor as Contributor

To add your instructor as a contributor, you will need their username in GitHub.

  1. Sign in to your GitHub account at www.github.com.

  2. Under Top Repositories, click the repository for your project.

  3. Click Settings.

  4. Under Access, click Collaborators and teams.

  5. Next to Manage access, click Add people.

  6. Enter your instructor’s GitHub username in the search box.

  7. Select their account from the search results.

  8. Click Add Instructor to this Repository.

    Your instructor will receive an email invitation to view your code at the address associated with their GitHub account.

Resolution: Download Workspace

  1. In the codespace toolbar, click Cengage Companion › Bundle Current Workspace.

    The Explorer tab opens.

  2. Under Student, right-click the.zip file and click Download.

  3. Send your.zip file to your instructor.
