To schedule an individual project, use this procedure:

On the Navigation bar, click SAM Assignments.
The Assignments page displays.
- Locate and select the training to schedule to a student or set of students from a section.

In the Actions column, click
.
- In Assignment Name, enter a unique name within the section for the project.
- In Instructions, enter project instructions.

From the Select Section drop-down menu, select the
appropriate section.
Note
- If no students are assigned to the section, the following message displays: There are no students in the selected section. Select a different section to select individual students.
- In this case, either select another section or, if you are the section owner, edit the section and add students. When done editing, restart the Scheduling Individual Project procedure.

Set the options for your project and click Next Step.
- Scoring and Delivery Options
- Configure your assignment.

- Include Final Figure in Instruction File

Clear this option if you do not want your students to refer to the final figure when completing their project.
Not available for Microsoft® Access® projects.
- Pass/Fail
- Students must answer your percentage of questions correctly to receive a pass grade. Students who score below this threshold receive fail grades.
- Specify time limit
- Students have your number minutes to complete the assignment. The time begins when the student first launches their assignment.
- Project Incident File Rejection

Students cannot submit a project that:
- Is another student's start file.
- Contains content that was copied and pasted from another student's start file.
- Contains information associated with a different assignment.
- Is a non-SAM generated file.
- Has been opened from OneDrive, Google Drive, or other cloud-based storage.
- Has been opened or edited with Google Docs, Google Sheets, or a cloud-based version of Office®.
Rejected projects do not count against student submission attempts.
- Receive Project Incident Notifications

Be notified if a student submits a project that:
- Is another student's start file.
- Contains content that was copied and pasted from another student's start file.
- Contains information associated with a different assignment.
- Is a non-SAM generated file.
- Has been opened from OneDrive, Google Drive, or other cloud-based storage.
- Has been opened or edited with Google Docs, Google Sheets, or a cloud-based version of Office.
- Hide Project Instruction File
- Students are not given the SAM-authored instructions for the project.

Students can submit a project 1-10 times.
Note Multiple submissions can be used to check student progress before students submit their final version for a grade. - Issue badge at 90%

Award a shareable badge to students who earn 90% and above.
Available for capstone projects and MOS practice exams for Office 365®/2021 and newer content versions.
- Adjust Maximum Score and Step Weight
- Edit the point value of each step of the project and the project overall. This is not available for textbook projects.

Project Version is not available for all projects.
- PC & Mac

Allows both the PC and Mac versions of the project to be downloaded.Important Project files must be completed on the type of computer they were downloaded on. If students download the project files on a PC, they must use a PC to complete the project.

- Only the PC version of the project file will be available for download.
- Select Section

Sections for which the assignment is scheduled.
Your assignment can only be scheduled in sections using the same content version. A warning displays if you have already scheduled the assignment for any of the selected sections.

- Set rules for student access and submission.

- Set the date an assignment is available.

- If you set availability dates, you can restrict student access to test assignments for increased testing security by setting specific testing times and passwords. Set Test Times and Passwords
- Late Submission Options
- If you set availability dates, you can allow penalized submissions after the due date.
- Daily % reduction
- The amount by which the student's assignment grade is reduced for each day after the due date.
- End Date
- The last date on which a late submission will be accepted. No late submissions are accepted after 11:59 PM on this date.
- Specify when students can view reports

- Make student reports always available beginning 12:00 AM
Select the first date on which reports are available.
- Make student reports available
Select both start and end dates and times for reports to be available.

Decide whether the individual assignment replaces an existing assignment score in
the
gradebook.

Select Do not replace any assignment in Gradebook.
The individual assignment displays in the gradebook with an *.
Replace an existing assignment score
Select an assignment under the Replace with field.
Even if the student already has a score for the original assignment, the individual assignment score replaces the original class assignment score:
- The score is N/A until the student takes the individual assignment.
- The score updates to 0 if the student does not submit the individual assignment by the due date.

Under Available Students, select students for whom to schedule the
individual assignment.
- To filter the list, type a student's name in the search box.
- Students displayed with gray text already have assignments to replace in the gradebook.
- Click Save.
