Add a True/False Question

Author a new true/false question to use in your activity. Students select whether a statement is True or False.

Important Question editing and authoring is not available for all courses.

Before you begin

This task is different depending on the version of MindTap used in your class.

If these directions do not match what you see in your class, click MindTap version in the toolbar above and select your MindTap version.

  1. At the top of the activities list, turn on Edit​ .
  2. To expand chapter and activity folders, click Expand.
  3. Click  Edit next to an activity.
  4. At the bottom of the activity settings editor, click Edit Activity Options.
  5. At the bottom of the activity, click Add Question.
    1. If your course includes a question bank, select New Question.
    The question editor opens in your activity.
  6. Click Question Type > True / False.
  7. Optional: Enter a question title in Enter title.
  8. Enter your true/false statement in Enter question.
  9. Select either the True or False response to mark it as the correct answer.
    In this example, true is the correct response.
  10. Optional: To add feedback for a response, click Feedback and enter a message in Enter feedback.
  11. Optional: To add feedback to the overall question, enter a message in Overall Feedback.
  12. Click OK to add your question to your activity.
  13. Click Save and Close to save your activity changes and close the activity editor.

    1. Click + Activity > Activity >  Add from Activity Bank.
    2. Click an activity.
    Create a new activity
    1. Click + Activity > Activity > Create New.
    2. Click either Create Activity or Create Activity with Question Pools.
  2. If you did not create the original activity, click Copy to Edit to create your own version of the activity.
    Your version replaces the original activity on the learning path.
  3. Click + Create Question.
  4. Click Add New.
  5. Click Multiple Choice > True or false.
  6. Enter your True/False statement in Compose question.
  7. In Set correct answer(s), click the response that will be marked correct.
  8. Optional: To add feedback, click More options .
    • Enter feedback for the entire question in Overall feedback.
    • To give feedback for students who select a certain option, click + Add under Answer Feedback. Enter feedback for the first multiple-choice option in Answer Feedback 1.

      Repeat as needed for other options.

    • Enter an example of a correct response in Sample answer.
  9. Optional: Click Preview to preview your question.
  10. Click Save to add your question to your activity.
