Edit Questions

Remove unwanted questions, rewrite questions to better meet your students' needs, and reinforce learning with customized feedback.

Courses using Standard MindTap have an eBook icon in the toolbar.

Question editing and authoring is not available for all activities.

  1. At the top of the activities list, turn on Edit​ .

  2. Click Edit next to an activity.

  3. At the bottom of the activity settings editor, click Edit Activity Options.

  4. To expand a question, click Expand.

    Delete a question, response, or feedback

    Click Delete next to the content you want to remove.

    Edit text

    Click the text you want to change and enter your new text. You can edit:

    • Assignment names
    • Question names
    • Question text
    • Multiple-choice and multiple-select responses

    Edit fill-in-the-blank questions

    Click Edit answers and feedback next to the fill-in-the-blank answer. A menu displays all fill-in-the-blank responses and feedback.

    Add a response

    Click Add Another Response and enter your new response.

    Change the correct response

    Select a response to mark it as correct.

    Correct responses display or . Incorrect responses display or .

    Give feedback for a question

    In Overall Feedback, enter your feedback. Students will see your feedback after any response.

    Give feedback for a specific response

    Click Feedback next to a response and enter feedback. Students who select this response will see your feedback.

    Reorder questions

    Click Move on a question and drag the question to move it.

  5. To close the question editor and collapse the question, click Collapse.

  6. Click Save and Close to save your activity changes and close the activity editor.

  1. Open the activity editor.

    Edit an activity on the learning path

    Click Activity context menu › Edit activity title and content.

    Edit an activity from the Activity Bank

    1. Click + Activity › Activity › Add from Activity Bank.
    2. Click an activity.
    3. Click Edit.

    Create a new activity

    1. Click + Activity › Activity › Create New.
    2. Click either Create Activity or Create Activity with Question Pools.

  2. Click a question title.

  3. Click Edit to open the question editor.

  4. Edit your question.

    Your options depend on the question type:

  5. Click Save As, then click Save.

    Your version of the question is added to the activity.
