Integrate OWLv2 With Your Schoology Course

Your Schoology® administrator must have set up the Cengage tool in Schoology.

With this integration:

You and your students access your OWLv2 courses from Schoology.
You can sync students' individual activity scores to Schoology.

Best Practice To help your students, use clear and consistent naming for your courses and sections in both Schoology and OWLv2. This is especially important if you integrate more than one OWLv2 section from the same Schoology course.

Single-Section Courses

Create your course in Schoology.
Choose one of the following:
- Create a New Schoology-Integrated OWLv2 Course
- Copy a OWLv2 Course to a New Schoology Course
In your OWLv2 course, assign the activities you want to use.
Add Links in Schoology to OWLv2 Activities and Resources

Multisection Courses

Schoology sections must be created and linked before you begin integrating OWLv2 courses. Schoology permits section linking when enabled by your school or district administrator.

Each Schoology section will be linked to a OWLv2 course.

Create your multisection Schoology course.
Link your first Schoology section to a new OWLv2 course.
1. Create a New Schoology-Integrated OWLv2 Course
2. Add Links in Schoology to OWLv2 Activities and Resources
Set up your OWLv2 course.

Finish setting up your course before copying it over to the rest of your Schoology sections, so you only have to make these changes once.
In your Schoology section, click the Cengage link you just created.
Cengage opens in a new tab.
In Schoology, open the next section and click the Cengage link.
The Cengage course linking page opens in a new tab.
Link the Schoology section to a copy of your OWLv2 course.
1. Copy a OWLv2 Course to a New Schoology Course
2. Add Links in Schoology to OWLv2 Activities and Resources
Repeat this process for each section in your Schoology course.
