Use the Charts and Graphs tab to visualize your selected dataset.
- Prerequisites
- Select a Dataset
-
Click the graph type you want to create.
Graph types include:
- Histogram
- Box Plot
- Dot Plot
- Scatter Plot
- Bar Chart
- Pie Chart
- Probability Plot
-
Under Settings, set Variable to Graph to the variable
whose data you want to analyze.
Depending on the graph type, this variable might need to be numerical or categorical. If
needed, edit the variable type on the Dataset page.
-
If needed, set Grouping Variable to a categorical variable by which to group the
data.
Not required for all graph types.
- Optional:
For histograms:
-
Change the Bin / Class Width (class
interval).
-
Change the Starting Point (left endpoint of the leftmost bin or
class interval).
-
Click Recalculate Bins.
- Optional:
For scatter plots, clear or select Regression Line to hide or show the
regression line. For probability plots, clear or select an overlay line.
The selected graph is displayed.
Below most graphs, a summary table of the selected data is displayed. You might need
to scroll to see the
tabular data. The Probability Plot is the only graph without this option.
If needed, click ╳ beside a variable to clear it.
