SAM Path Assignments

SAM Paths are assignments consisting of sequential combinations of exams and training. Supported path combinations include the following:

Pre-Exam > Training > Post-Exam: Take a Pre-Exam, then a training, then a Post-Exam.
Training > Exam: Take a training, then an exam.
Exam > Training: Take an exam, then a training.

SAM Path scores may display separately in the Gradebook as Exam and Training Assignments or as one score in the SAM Path Assignment Type, depending on the assignment settings set by your instructor.

Use the following procedure to take SAM Path assignments:

Select a SAM Path from the Activity Calendar or Activity List.
If your instructor specified a password for the assignment, SAM prompts you for it. Enter the password and click OK.
The assignment details display in a new window.
Click an assignment on the list.
Click Start.
The assignment begins when the SAM Content Player opens.

Some SAM courses use different versions of the SAM Content Player.
Click View Report to see your results.
This option is not available for all exams.
Click OK to submit your assignment.
Your assignment is not submitted if you close the Content Player by closing the browser window.
To submit your assignment with incomplete tasks, click Submit › Yes.
Complete all components for the SAM Path assignment.
