You can maintain access to the badges you earn in your SAM course after the course ends.

Accessibility of Tasks
Tasks that are not accessible in Microsoft Office are not accessible in SAM. Students using screen readers are notified if a task cannot be completed using their assistive technology. You can remove inaccessible tasks for affected students in their version of the assignment.
Achievement Badges
You can earn shareable badges on assignments labeled Badge available if you score 90% or above.
Activities
You can view and take assignments from the Activity List view.
Activity Calendar
The Activity Calendar displays your assigned activities on a monthly calendar.
Activity list
The Activity List displays all keyboarding activities for the selected section. The Activity List displays assignment name, type, availability, due date, section and status. Expand the lesson under the Assignment Name column to view all the assignments available for a lesson.
Activity List
The Activity List displays a list of all of your assigned activities. Completed assignments with no more attempts available are not shown.
Add Cengage Unlimited Study Tools
Your Cengage Unlimited subscription includes access to practice tests and study guides for many subjects. Add study tools to your dashboard for quick access.
Adding a Product
If this is the case, your assignments display as inactive until you add the necessary product using the following procedure: Your institution may have a grace period where you can access SAM temporarily without entering a key code. After the grace period expires, you cannot take assignments, access scores or reports until you enter a key code. Click Add Product . The Add Product window displays. Go to chrome://settings/cookies. Select Allow third-party cookies .
Allow Cookies in Microsoft Edge
Click ⋯ › Settings . Click Cookies and Site Permissions . Click Manage and delete cookies and site data . Turn on Allow sites to save and read cookie data (recommended) .
Allow Cookies in Safari
You can't allow cookies only for specific sites. Click Safari › Settings . Click the Advanced tab. Clear Block all cookies . Click the Privacy tab. Clear Prevent cross-site tracking .

Go to chrome://settings/content/javascript. Select Sites can use JavaScript .
Allow JavaScript in Microsoft Edge
In Microsoft Edge, JavaScript is always enabled and you cannot disable it.

Macros help for Access and Excel projects Students may experience system errors when they work on Access and Excel projects if they have macros blocked on their computer. SAM now detects if macros are blocked and gives affected students instructions to change their macros settings when they start projects that use macros. Can't Open eBook
Your Keyboarding in SAM course does not show an eBook.
Change Monitor Resolution
To use the SAM Content Player most effectively, set your monitor to a display resolution of 1366x768 or higher. This setting enables SAM simulations to display without scrolling.
Check Your System
Use the browser check tool to see if you need to update your browser or install missing plugins.
Classes
You can view, enroll in, and unenroll from class sections. You are either enrolled automatically or wait listed depending on how the instructor set up the course.
Complete a Project
To complete and submit a project assignment in Keyboarding in SAM, download a start file, follow the project instructions and save your work, upload your files to Keyboarding in SAM, and submit your work.
Completing a Reading Assignment
If your instructor has selected a Cengage eBook for your section, the instructor can assign readings from that book. If you have purchased that eBook through Cengage, you can read that book online from within SAM using the following procedure:
