Click Grades › Import Scores to GradeBook.
Select I want to upload a set of assignments from a file.
Click Next.
Download an assignment scores template for your class.
Download the template to get a file — prepopulated with your students' information — formatted correctly for you to add assignment scores.
Under Download Template:
Select fullname or student number if you want to include this information.
Select the file extension to use for the downloaded file.
Click Download.
The file is downloaded as a tab-separated text file with the filename extension you selected.
For example:
Open the template file in your spreadsheet editor — both Excel and Google Sheets work well — and add assignment data.
You can add one or more assignments. Each assignment's data is in its own column in the table.
If needed, add a blank column right of the student information or previous assignment.
Enter information about the assignment in the column, in the rows corresponding to the headers on the left.

Select all the spreadsheet cells with data (including the student usernames) and copy your selection.
In WebAssign, for Upload Method, select Copy and paste scores from a file on your computer.
Click Next.
Paste the copied data into the box.
Your data should be pasted as tab-delimited text.
If your data are not pasted correctly, save your spreadsheet as a tab-delimited text file, open the file with a text editor, and copy from that.
Click Review.
The assignments and scores you provided are listed.
Values that can't be used, like invalid dates, are indicated so you can correct them.
If you try to add an assignment with the same name as another assignment already scheduled or entered for the section, you are prompted to rename the new assignment or update the existing assignment information and scores. You can also create the new assignment with the same name as the existing assignment if needed.
