Set Up New Integration

Open the email with your Cengage LMS configuration information. You will need:

• Cengage Client ID
• Registration Key
• Deep Linking URL

Install Cengage Content Tool

1. Sign in to lms-name as an administrator.

2. Click Admin to open Administrator Tools.

3. Under Integrations, click LTI Tool Providers.

4. Click Register LTI 1.3/Advantage Tool.

5. Enter your client ID and click Submit.

   Your client ID is given in your Cengage configuration email.

6. Set the following options:

   Option	Value

   Tool Provider Custom Parameters	course_start=$CourseSection.timeFrame.begin legacy_user_id=$legacy.userid parent_context_id=$parent.contextid course_end=$CourseSection.timeFrame.end legacy_context_id=$legacy.contextid
   User Fields to Send	Role in Course Name Email Address
   Allow Grade Service Access	Yes
   Allow Membership Service Access	Yes

7. Click Submit.

   The Cengage Content tool is listed on the LTI Tool Providers menu.

8. Next to the Cengage tool, click › Manage Placements.

9. Click Synchronize Placements.

   The Cengage deep linking tool is added to your Administrator Tools.

Register Cengage Content Tool

10. Open a course in Blackboard.

    This can be a test course.

11. Open the Cengage tool.

    Blackboard Original:

    1. Click Content.

    2. Under Build Content, click Cengage Content.

    Blackboard Ultra:

    1. Open the Content Market.

    2. Under Institution Tools, click Cengage Content.

12. Enter your registration key and click Submit.

    Your registration key is given in your Cengage configuration email.

A message indicates that the Cengage tool was registered successfully.
