To enable Cengage and Blackboard® integration, you must configure and register the Cengage Content tool for your site.

Important
These instructions are for institutions setting up a new LTI 1.3 integration with the Cengage
Content tool.
If your institution has an existing integration that needs to be updated to
LTI 1.3, see:
Open the email with your Cengage LMS configuration information. You will need:
- Cengage Client ID
- Registration Key
- Deep Linking URL
Install Cengage Content Tool

Sign in to Blackboard as an administrator.

Click Admin to open Administrator
Tools.

Under Integrations, click LTI Tool
Providers.

Click Register LTI 1.3/Advantage Tool.

Enter your client ID and click Submit.
Your client ID is given in your Cengage configuration
email.

Click Submit.
The Cengage Content tool is listed on the
LTI Tool Providers menu.

Next to the Cengage tool, click .

Click Synchronize Placements.
The Cengage deep linking tool is added to your
Administrator Tools.
Register Cengage Content Tool

Open a course in Blackboard.
This can be a test course.

Open the Cengage tool.
Blackboard Original:

Click Content.

Under Build Content, click Cengage
Content.
Blackboard Ultra:

Open the Content Market.
-
Under Institution Tools, click Cengage
Content.

Enter your registration key and click Submit.
Your registration key is given in your Cengage configuration
email.
A message indicates that the Cengage tool was registered successfully.
