Grades and Scores

You can view, edit, and export or sync your students' activity scores and calculated overall grades.

View Grades and Scores
You can view your students' activity scores and calculated overall grades.
Gradebook Display Settings
Change your gradebook display settings to review your students' performance. You can organize assignments by due date, grading category, and units/folders.
Activity Icons
Icons displayed in the gradebook and learning path give you information about your activities and how they are scored.
Add Written Review Comments
While reviewing student work on a course activity, you can provide feedback in written comments.
Grade Calculation
You can configure how grades are calculated in the MindTap gradebook.
Manual Grading
Some questions, like open response questions, require manual grading.
Review Student Attempts
You can review your students' work on an activity.
Edit Scores
You can change student assignment scores in the gradebook.
Drop Activity for a Student
You can drop an activity from grade calculations for a student, for example, to excuse the student from completing the activity. The dropped activity score is not counted toward points possible or earned for any calculations.
Export Gradebook Data
You can export your gradebook data to share your students' performance or import it into another system.
Import Gradebook Data
To update several activity scores at the same time, you can import a file with student activity scores.
Import MindTap Grades to Your Unintegrated Canvas Course
If you are using both MindTap and Canvas™ but your courses are not integrated, you can still add MindTap grades to your Canvas™ gradebook.
View Analytics
You can view scatterplot charts correlating your students' performance with engagement, time spent in the course, or activities opened. These can both indicate overall class performance and help you identify students whose performance is significantly above or below the average or not correlated with other factors.
Export Analytics Report
You can export analytics data to a file.
Sync Scores to LMS
After adding activity links from your LMS, your students' MindTap scores sync automatically to your LMS based on your settings. Syncing MindTap scores should take 5 minutes or less.
