Enable Proctorio Exam Proctoring for Blackboard Classic-Integrated CNOWv2

If you use Blackboard Classic®, you can prevent cheating by using Proctorio®. Create a Blackboard® test that requires Proctorio and use it to link to CNOWv2. Your students will continue to be monitored by Respondus® while they complete their exam in CNOWv2.

Note

Proctorio is a browser extension and works only with Google® Chrome™.

Students should download the Proctorio extension ahead of time, or they will be prompted to do so when they open their assignment.

You must first create a password protected exam in CNOWv2.

Add a link to your exam in Blackboard.

  1. In your Blackboard course, locate your CNOWv2 exam link, right click, and copy the link address.

    This is the link you will add to your Blackboard test.

  2. Navigate to a content area in your Blackboard course.
  3. Click Assessments > Test.
  4. Click Create.
  5. Enter the necessary information and click Submit.
  6. Click Create question > True/False.
  7. Enter a question title.
  8. Add your exam link to Question Text.
    1. Enter Exam link in the text box.
    2. Select the text and click insert/edit link.
    3. Paste your exam link in Link Path.
    4. Set Target to Open in New Window and click Insert.
  9. Click Submit > OK.
  10. Select your test and click Submit.
  11. On the Test Options page, scroll down to Proctorio Settings and select Remote Proctoring.
  12. Set your Proctorio settings.
  13. Click Submit.

Open your Blackboard test in student view to test the experience and make sure you can access your CNOWv2 exam.

Publish your Blackboard test to make it available to students.
