Coding Lab is Missing Tools or Running Slowly

If your lab opens without certain tools, or runs slowly, you might need to rebuild your codespace to get the latest Coding Labs updates.

Any work in your codespace is automatically saved, so rebuilding your codespace does not affect your work.

Resolution

  1. In your lab, open the Command Palette.

    • In the codespace Activity Bar, click Manage › Command Palette.
    • Windows: Ctrl+Shift+P
    • MacOS: Command+Shift+P

  2. In the Command Palette, type Codespaces: Rebuild Container.

  3. Press Enter.

  4. In the confirmation window, click Rebuild.

    The codespace is rebuilt with the latest features and optimizations. This might take a few minutes.
