Add a Link to Technical Support

After linking your Blackboard and Keyboarding in SAM courses, add a Cengage technical support link in the same way as adding links to Keyboarding in SAM activities. The technical support link is listed at the bottom of the list of activities.

Google Workspace for Education Plus adds links to Google Classroom assignments, while Google Workspace for Education Fundamentals/Standard adds links directly to the Classwork tab.

  1. Open your Blackboard course.

  2. Click Add Content Add Learning App.

  3. Click the Cengage tool.

    If the tool is not available, contact your administrator.

  4. Click Select Content.

  5. On the Materials tab, click Add Materials Cengage LMS Integration.

  6. Go to a content area in your course and open the Content Market.

    • Blackboard Original: Click Content Build Content.
    • Blackboard Ultra: Click + Content Market.
  7. Click the Cengage tool.

  8. From the course navigation, click Cengage.

    If you get an error message when you click Cengage, see the following:

  9. Select your linked Keyboarding in SAM course from the list of content sources.

  10. Click the Content tab.

  11. In your module, click Add Existing Activities Cengage.

    The Cengage tool may be named differently for your school. Ask your LMS Admin if you are unsure.

    If you do not see the Cengage tool, try this instead.

    1. Click Related Tools Course Builder.
    2. Drag New Cengage Learning from Add Content to your module.
  12. Click actions menu Turn editing on.

  13. Click Add an activity or resource.

  14. Select the Cengage tool and click Add.

    The Cengage tool is created and named by your Moodle administrator.

  15. At the bottom of the list of activities, select the Cengage Technical Support link.

  16. Click Continue.

  17. Blackboard Original:Review the settings, select where to put your course links, and click Submit.

  18. Save your changes at the bottom of the page.

    Click either Save and return to course or Save and display.

Google Workspace for Education Plus

This integration method imports one link at a time. To import multiple links at once, follow the instructions for Google Workspace for Education Fundamentals/Standard.

    1. Click Select Content.

    2. At the bottom of the list of activities, select the Cengage Technical Support link.

    3. Click Continue.

    1. To open the Cengage integration tool, click Google apps Cengage.

    2. Select your Blackboard class.

      1. Click a class in the Google Classroom Class dropdown list.

      2. Select a Blackboard topic.

      3. Select whether to import your Keyboarding in SAM assignments as drafts or immediately assign them to students.

      4. Click Continue.

    3. Click Select Content.

    4. At the bottom of the list of activities, select the Cengage Technical Support link.

    5. Click Continue.
