Import MindTap Grades to Your Unintegrated Canvas Course
If you are using both MindTap and Canvas but your courses are not integrated, you can still add MindTap grades to your Canvas gradebook.
Sync Zero Scores to LMS
By default, if a student has not attempted an activity when the due date passes, no score will be sent to the LMS gradebook. You can change the default setting to send a score of zero to the LMS gradebook. This will negatively affect students' final grades.

Use Category Weighting
You can calculate students' overall grades by weighting activity categories like homework, quizzes, labs, and tests. When you use category weighting, category averages are calculated first and each category average counts as a percentage of the overall grade.

Choose to calculate your students' overall grades by weighting activities by point value or averaging their percentage scores.

View Individual Student Scores
You can view a breakdown of the graded and ungraded activities that count toward a student's overall grade. This can be useful if there are questions about how the student's grade was calculated.
Drop Lowest Score
You can automatically drop each student's lowest activity scores for each category or for uncategorized activities.
Drop Activity for a Student
You can drop an activity from grade calculations for a student, for example, to excuse the student from completing the activity. The dropped activity score is not counted toward points possible or earned for any calculations.
Add Activities to Categories
You can organize your activities into categories such as Homework, Lab, Quiz, or Test.
Filter Gradebook
Filter your gradebook to display only certain categories of students and activities. Filter students based on their overall grade, and activities based on due date, type of activity, or grading category.
Score Unattempted Activities with No Due Date
By default, there is no penalty for an unattempted activity with no due date set. You can change the default setting to score these activities as zero when the course ends.

Review Submissions in Canvas
Open your Canvas course. From the course navigation, click Grades . Click a student's name. A panel opens on the right with a summary of the student's performance. Select the grade for the activity you want to review under Last Graded Items . Or, click Grades and select the activity from the list of all activities in your course.
