Disable Homework Help in Chrome

You can disable the Homework Help feature in Google® Chrome™ that provides AI-generated answers to educational content.

Note

• This disables Homework Help on your personal account and devices.
• Your institution's Google Workspace Administrator can disable Homework Help for school-managed accounts and devices using the following policies in the Google Admin Console:
  • LensOverlaySettings
  • GenAiDefaultSettings
• Disabling Homework Help may affect other Google Lens features.

1. Go to chrome://flags.
2. Search for the following flags and set them to Disabled.
   • #enable-lens-overlay
   • #lens-overlay-edu-action-chip
3. At the bottom of the page, click Relaunch to relaunch Chrome.
