Add an Instructor

Add an individual instructor to your course.

Add an Existing Instructor

  1. Click Course Management in the top navigation bar.

    The list of courses at your institution will display.

  2. Click edit for the course you want to edit.

    To display options for the course, hover over the course.

  3. Under Add publisher materials, click Choose Instructor and select an instructor at your school.

  4. Select an instructor from the list of instructors at your school.

  5. Click Save.

Add a New Instructor

  1. Click User Management in Spark.

  2. Click New User +.

  3. Enter the following information.

    First Name

    User's given name.

    Last Name

    User's family name.

    Email

    Optional: An email address where Spark can send the user a link to set their password, or verify their identity if they forget their password.

    Role

    Select Instructor.

    Username

    The username for the account.

    Usernames can include the following characters:

    Password

    Select Use the default institution password.

    Or, select Send the teacher an email with a link to set their password.

    Upload an avatar

    Optional: Upload an image that will appear with the user's account.

    To let users upload or change their own avatars, turn on Allow upload/edit avatar.

  4. In Assign Course(s), search for a course or select from a list of available courses.

    Assign Courses menu with 2 options. Both courses show the course name, course key, and if there is an instructor.
  5. Click Create.
