Google Classroom Access Blocked

When students try to launch your course from Google Classroom, they see the error message Access blocked: Your institution's admin needs to review Cengage School.

Your district's technology coordinator must configure your school's Google Classroom settings to allow Cengage School access.

Resolution

Give these instructions to your technology coordinator.

  1. Go to https://admin.google.com

  2. Click Security › Access and data control › API controls.

    If Cengage School is shown in Apps pending review:

    1. Approve Cengage School for use.

    If Cengage School is not shown in Apps pending review:

    1. Click Manage Third-Party App Access.

    2. In Accessed Apps, click View List.

    3. If Cengage School is marked not configured, click Change Access and follow the prompts given.
