Copy Your Keyboarding in SAM-Integrated Course in Blackboard

Copy a Keyboarding in SAM-integrated Blackboard® course to copy all content and course settings in both Blackboard and Keyboarding in SAM at the same time.

This feature is not available to everyone and cannot be used to copy another instructor's course. Alternatively, see Copy a Keyboarding in SAM Course to a New Blackboard Course.

If this feature is not enabled for your institution, you will be asked to complete additional steps after copying your Blackboard course.

Note To request this feature, ask your Cengage representative to enable enhanced course copy.
  1. In Blackboard, copy all course content to a new course using one of the following methods.
    • Copy an entire Keyboarding in SAM-integrated Blackboard course.
    • Create a new Blackboard course and copy content from a Keyboarding in SAM-integrated course into the new course.

If you are manually selecting which content to copy, be sure to include links to Keyboarding in SAM.

  2. After the task is complete, navigate to the copied content area in your new course.

Your Keyboarding in SAM links should all be listed, but they don't yet point to a Keyboarding in SAM course.

  3. Click one of the Keyboarding in SAM links.

Your copied Keyboarding in SAM course opens in a new tab.

All dates in your new Keyboarding in SAM course are inferred from the course start and end date.

Note If your course does not open, this feature is not enabled and you must complete these additional steps.
  1. Copy your Keyboarding in SAM course.
    1. Select Copy one of my existing Cengage/SAM courses (including its assignments) if it is not already selected.
    2. Select the correct Keyboarding in SAM course if it is not already selected.
    3. Enter the necessary information.

Review and adjust assignment dates and course settings as needed.
