To give each student a different version of your activity, use pools of related questions. Each student is given their own set of questions randomly selected from the pool.
Note This feature is only available for the latest MindTap version.
- At the top of the learning path, click + Activity > Activity.
- Click Create New > Create Activity with Question Pools.
- Enter a title in Activity title and click Save.
- Click + Create Pool.

To add questions from the question bank, click
Browse Question Bank.
- Optional:
Filter the question bank to find questions you
want.
Browse questions by:
- Question Source
- Question Type
- Categorization
- Chapter/Subchapter
- Certification
- Difficulty
- Optional:
To search question content, enter your
search criteria in Find by content and click
.

To preview a question, click
.
To view the question answer, click Check Answer.

To view more questions, click
Previous or Next
at the top or bottom of the question list.
- Select questions and click Add Question(s).

Click
Back to return to the activity editor.
- Optional:
Filter the question bank to find questions you
want.

To create and add your own question, click + Create
Question.
- Click Add New.

Click a question type and add your question.
- Multiple ChoiceThis includes:
- Fill in the Blanks (Cloze)
- Essay
- Multiple Choice
- Click Save.

Back to return to the activity editor.
- In Number of questions to deliver, enter how many randomly selected questions from the pool each student should be given.
- Optional: To give the same question to all students, create a question pool with a single question and set Number of questions to deliver to 1.
- Continue adding question pools until your activity has all the questions you want.
- To view a sample version of your activity, click Preview.
- Click Save.
- Optional:
To schedule your activity now, click Assign This
Activity.
You can also schedule your activity later from the Activity Bank.

Enter your assignment information and
click Next.
- Title
- Label for the activity in the learning path.
- Description
- Information or instructions displayed when the activity is opened.
- Date Available
- When students can start work on the activity.
- Date Due
- When students must end work on the activity.
- Total Points Possible
- How many points the activity is worth in the gradebook.
- Password
- Optional: Require password protection for the activity.
- Timer
- Optional: Set a time limit for students to complete the activity.
- Click an activity type in the Settings Group dropdown to apply a set of scoring and feedback settings.
- Click Next.
- Optional: Set any student accommodations for this activity.
- When you are finished, click Save All.
- Set the activity's location on the learning path in Folder and Placement.
- Click Save.
