Enable Proctorio Exam Proctoring for Blackboard-Integrated Keyboarding in SAM

If you use Blackboard, you can prevent cheating by using Proctorio. Create a Blackboard test that requires Proctorio and use it to link to Keyboarding in SAM. Your students will continue to be monitored by Proctorio while they complete their exam in Keyboarding in SAM.

This procedure is for Blackboard courses with the Original Course View.

Proctorio is a browser extension and works only with Google Chrome.

Students should download the Proctorio extension ahead of time, or they will be prompted to do so when they open their assignment.

You must first create a password protected exam in Keyboarding in SAM, and add a link to your exam in Blackboard.

  1. Navigate to a content area in your Blackboard course.

  2. Click Assessments › Test.

  3. Click Create.

  4. Enter the necessary information and click Submit.

  5. Click Create question › True/False.

  6. Enter a question title.

  7. Add your exam link to Question Text.

    1. Click insert/edit link.

    2. Paste your exam link in URL.

    3. Set Open link in... to New Window.

    4. Click Save.

  8. Click Submit.

  9. Click OK

  10. Select your test and click Submit.

  11. On the Test Options page, scroll down to Proctorio Settings and select Remote Proctoring.

  12. Set your Proctorio settings.

  13. Click Submit.

Open your Blackboard test in student view to test the experience and make sure you can access your Keyboarding in SAM exam.

Publish your Blackboard test to make it available to students.
