Link to Your Cengage Textbook from Blackboard

Link to the eBook from your Blackboard course for easy access for you and your students.

  1. Ask your cengage.com/repfinder/ for your eBook link.

    The launch URLs for eBooks use the same base format with the eBook ISBN at the end.​

    Example: https://gateway.cengage.com/rest/launchBasicLTI/etext/9780357700938

  2. Open your Blackboard course.

  3. Confirm the Lessons tool is enabled.

    1. Select Site Info from your navigation.

    2. Click Manage Tools.

    3. Scroll down to confirm that Lessons is selected.

  4. Select Lessons from your navigation.

  5. Click Add Content › Add External Tool.

  6. Click the Cengage tool.

    If you do not see the Cengage tool, try the procedure for Sakai LTI Advantage.

    If you continue to experience issues, contact your administrator.

  7. Paste the eBook link provided by your Cengage representative into the Launch URL field.

  8. Click Save.​​

    Your eBook link is added to your Lesson.

  9. Click Edit to change the link name as needed.​
