Enable Honorlock Exam Proctoring for Blackboard Ultra-Integrated OWLv2

If you use Blackboard Ultra, you can prevent cheating by using Honorlock. Create a Blackboard Ultra test that requires Honorlock and use it to link to OWLv2. Your students are monitored by Honorlock while they complete their exam in OWLv2.

This procedure is for Blackboard courses with the Ultra Course View.

Honorlock is a browser extension and works only with Google Chrome. Students must use Google Chrome to take their exam.

You must first create a password protected exam in OWLv2, and add a link to your exam in Blackboard.

  1. In your Blackboard course, locate your OWLv2 exam link, right click, and copy the link address.

    This is the link you will add to your Blackboard test.

  2. Add Honorlock to your Course Content page.

    1. Click Add › Content Market.

    2. Find the Honorlock Exam List tile and click Add.

  3. Click Honorlock Exam List.

  4. Click menu › Register Third Party Assessment.

  5. Enter the necessary information under Admin Settings.

    1. Under Assessment Platform, click + Use Another Platform and locate the Cengage tool.

    2. Paste the link to your OWLv2 exam in Direct URL.

    3. Under Exam Password, enter the same password you set for your exam in OWLv2.

  6. Click Create.

  7. On your Course Content page, set Honorlock Exam List to be visible to students.

Students will access the exam by clicking Honorlock Exam List on their Course Content page.
