Manually Link to Your Cengage eBook From Sakai

Do not use this procedure if your Sakai course is integrated with Cengage courseware like MindTap, SAM, or WebAssign.

  1. Get the ISBN of the eBook you want your students to use.

  2. Open your Sakai course.

  3. Select Lessons from your navigation.

  4. Click Add Content › Add Content Links.

  5. Enter your title in Item Name.

  6. Under Or add a URL, type the following address:

    https://gateway.cengage.com/rest/launchBasicLTI/etext/ISBN

    Substitute your eBook ISBN number for ISBN.

    For example:

    https://gateway.cengage.com/rest/launchBasicLTI/etext/9781305224216

  7. Click Save.
