Manually Link to Your Cengage eBook From Blackboard

Do not use this procedure if your Blackboard course is integrated with Cengage courseware like MindTap, SAM, or WebAssign.

  1. Get the ISBN of the eBook you want your students to use.

  2. Open your Blackboard course.

  3. Click Build Content › Web Link.

  4. In Name, type Cengage eBook or the eBook title.

  5. In URL, type the following address:

    https://gateway.cengage.com/rest/launchBasicLTI/etext/ISBN

    Substitute your eBook ISBN number for ISBN.

    For example:

    https://gateway.cengage.com/rest/launchBasicLTI/etext/9781305224216

  6. Set Open in New Window to Yes.

  7. Click Submit.

Alternatively, you can add the link as an announcement.
