This happens if you use an application other than the required version of Microsoft Office to work on your project file. MindTap rejects project files created by applications such as:
- Office 2008 for Macintosh
- WordPad for Windows
- Any version of the full Office 2007 suite
- Third-party applications that support Office file formats, such as Google Docs or Google Sheets
You can save project files to your Google Drive, but opening a file with Google Docs or Google Sheets will cause it to be rejected when you upload your project.
Resolution
If you used a tool other than the required version of Microsoft Office, open your project using the correct Office application and save it again.
