Transfer a Student Between Sections in a Course
Transfer a student from one section to another in the same course. If an assignment is present in both sections, any work that the student has completed on the assignment in the original section automatically transfers to that assignment in the new section. If the student entered an access code for the class, the code is transferred to the new section.
View an Assignment as a Student
When you create a course, you can interact with assignments as if you were a student. This is a good way to test an assignment.

Are all tests the same for every student?
Test questions are determined by choosing Same or Random when creating the assignment. Students will either receive all of the same questions in the same order if Same is chosen, or they will receive different versions of the same test if Random is chosen. There are five different versions for each Random test. Each student would receive one of the five versions. If the assignment is created again, each student would receive a different version the second time. They would see a different test up to five times.

How many domains do you recommend students take at one time for the Progression Benchmark?
We recommend only assigning one or two domains at a time. The number of questions students receive is based on the entry point and on student responses. If students answer correctly, they move on to the next skill. If students answer incorrectly, they are given a second attempt at a similar problem before receiving the lower grade level question for that skill.
As a student, how do I join a new class?
Go to www.BigIdeasMath.com and login with the same credentials you used for previous Big Ideas Math classes. Click on your name in the top-right corner of the website, then click Add Class . Enter the access code your teacher provided you with and click Next . You will then be enrolled in the new class and have access to your book and assignments.

Class Insights Analytics for a Student
With multiple submissions, online homework lets your students retry a problem until they figure out how to solve it. However, this means that homework scores often don't indicate how well your students understand the material. A better predictor of your students' test performance is performance on the first attempt for each question part. Class Insights uses this criterion to rate your student's proficiency on the assigned textbook topics. On the first attempt, your student earned at least 90%...

Mastery Training
Powered by Cerego, Mastery Training activities adapt to each student's performance to help them learn and apply concepts efficiently and effectively. Relying on the principle of distributed practice, these assignments require each student to follow a schedule and review core concepts in small chunks over time. Mastery Training refreshes your memory for each item just as it's about to fade by tracking your performance, measuring pace, response time, and accuracy to predict the best time to review. The result is a personalized experience that leads to long-term retention — and a learning engine that gets more effective the more you use it.
Set Up Personal Study Plan
To use a Personal Study Plan in your course, you must enable it for the course, set the plan options, and select the chapters and sections to be covered.

What do teachers see in the Progression Benchmark report?
Teachers can only view individual students in the Progression Benchmark report. Teachers see each student’s progress related to each domain and grade level. By selecting one of the domains, teachers can view the subdomains within that domain. Teachers can then view the specific objectives the student was tested on within the subdomain, and if that student answered correctly or incorrectly. Teachers can also see how long students took to answer each question, as well as the available remediation for those objectives.
