Upload Student IDs

You can upload a file with student IDs to update many student IDs at the same time.

Note If you manage your K–12 course through NGLSync, see Edit Student Profile (NGLSync).

Important You can't add new students or activities by importing.

1. In the toolbar, click .
2. Click Gradebook.
3. Export the gradebook as a comma separated value file.
   1. Click Gradebook Actions > Export.
   2. Select either Full Gradebook or Current Filtered View.
   3. Select Comma Separated Values.
   4. Select either Percent or Points.
   5. Click Export.
   Note If the file does not download, check the pop-up blocker settings in your browser.
4. Open the downloaded file in a spreadsheet application like Excel.
5. In the Student ID column, edit the student IDs.
   Important You can change activity scores and student IDs only.

   • Do not change any other data.
   • Enter scores in the same format as exported.

   You can't clear an existing student ID by importing a blank field.

6. Save the file using the comma separated values (CSV) format.
7. In , click Gradebook Actions > Import
8. Select a CSV file.

   This must be a file that you have previously exported from MindTap.

9. Select the value format (Percent or Points) you used when you exported the data.
10. Click Import.
11. Verify the listed changes and click Confirm.

The student IDs are updated per the imported data.
