Extend Time Limits

Give students more time to complete a timed assignment as an educational accommodation or a one-time extension for a student.

Before you begin

This task is different depending on the version of MindTap used in your class.

If these directions do not match what you see in your class, click MindTap version in the toolbar above and select your MindTap version.

Note Extending the time limit does not add onto the original time but sets a new time limit for the activity. The new time limit must be longer than the original time.

Time limits can be set for Aplia™, CNOW, and world language activities.

  1. In the toolbar, click Progress.
  2. In the Home tab, select an activity.
Tip Find an activity faster by typing the name in the Find an assignment search bar.
  3. Click Extend Time Limit.
  4. Select individual students or click Select All Students.
  5. In New Time Limit, enter a new number.
  6. Click Apply.
